Job Title: Data Center Technician (Level 4)
Travel Requirement: 75% Regional Travel
Location Base: Milwaukee Market
Pay Range per hour $23.00-$45.00

Overview:

We are seeking experienced Level 4 Data Center Technicians to join a regional traveling team supporting large-scale GPU deployments in enterprise data center environments. This role requires a strong experience in data center operations, hardware troubleshooting, and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform break/fix, deployment, and troubleshooting tasks for data center hardware and infrastructure.
  • Remove network cables as part of decommissioning activities.
  • Run, label, and stage power and networking cables.
  • Execute DBD (Device-Based Decommissioning) removal tasks (no scanning required).
  • Follow established procedures for installing, diagnosing, troubleshooting, replacing, and decommissioning equipment under the guidance of Data Center Technician Leads.
  • Prepare, stage, and perform basic startup and shutdown procedures for hardware using written instructions and checklists.
  • Conduct physical audits of data center assets.
  • Monitor systems for equipment failures or performance issues.
  • Respond to program error messages and assist in resolving issues.
  • Support testing and debugging of new programs in collaboration with programmers and analysts.
  • Operate software tools (e.g., spreadsheets) to manage and report data.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years of dedicated data center experience.
  • Strong understanding of computer hardware, servers, and components.
  • Experience with GPU deployments is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with network and systems infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate's degree in computer programming or related training preferred.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Data center operations and infrastructure management.
  • Cable management and hardware installation.
  • Break/fix and diagnostic troubleshooting.
  • Experience in high-performance computing environments.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
