Job Description:
Hiring an EMC Test Engineer to focus more on the physical device side, using tools like the ESD gun and EM scanner. The position will have a minimum of 2-3 months of training. The role emphasizes ESD testing, which involves working on products that are susceptible to static shock damage.
Additional Details:
  • BS in EE with minimum 3 years of practical industry experience performing the following tasks
  • Reviewing mechanical designs of enclosures, connectors, and cables for EMC compliance
  • Reviewing printed circuit board (PCB) schematics and layouts for emissions and immunity control
  • Preparing EMC test plans, overseeing EMC validation, and compiling reports on consumer electronics, medical equipment, or automotive systems
  • Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical sources of EMC failures and identifying solutions
  • Familiarity with lab equipment such as ESD guns, surge testers, receivers, oscilloscopes, SAs, VNAs, cables, amplifiers, LISNs, and CDNs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with experience generating technical reports
  • Experience reworking electrical components as small as 01005 is preferred
  • Experience with electromagnetic modeling and simulation tools such as CST, HFSS, ADS, and PowerSI is preferred
  • Experience with Matlab and scripting for test automation and data analysis is preferred

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $85.00/hr.
