Job Details

Translate research and test findings into actionable, prioritized recommendations for UI designs.

Clarify user, customer, and business needs and translate them into concepts for compelling interactions and user experiences.

Apply research methodologies and facilitate research sessions.

Integrate user research into product designs and design practices.

Collaborate with designers on prototype requirements to test and iterate.

Document goals, themes, elements, and behaviors for downstream UI teams.

Create UX artifacts such as journey maps, storyboards, and user flows.

Document overall UX strategy (UI, physical attributes, guiding principles, etc.) to be leveraged across partners.

Prioritize research needs and backlog based on the product roadmap.

Team & Work Environment:

Team of 11 members plus 2 interns, supporting multiple workstreams.

Regular interaction with designers and product owners; stakeholder management is key.

Hybrid role must be local to Chicago and able to work onsite when required.

Education & Experience:

5+ years of UX Research experience and knowledge of UX best practices, preferably in a corporate or B2B environment.

Bachelor s degree (or higher) in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, or related field (or equivalent additional 2 3 years of experience).

Required Technical Skills:

5+ years of experience with:

Empathy ability to synthesize stakeholder and user sentiment into insights.

Adaptive Thinking ability to pivot with changing requirements and confidently make informed decisions.

Strong knowledge of UI best practices, UI design, and graphic design theory.

Experience with UI layout, specifications, and prototyping tools.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Portfolio showcasing expertise and process articulation.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Desired Skills:

Project management experience is a plus.

Required Soft Skills:

Excellent communication, organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.

Strong data storytelling capability.
