We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role will be integral in driving process improvements, ensuring product quality, and enhancing production efficiency in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in Lean Manufacturing, Lean Sigma, Process Improvement Engineering, and experience in working with metals and composites.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
1. Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and Lean Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste and increase efficiency.
2. Working closely with the production team to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees.
3. Designing, developing and enhancing manufacturing processes and systems for product flow and assembly.
4. Identifying and driving process improvements to increase product quality and production efficiency.
5. Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
6. Collaborating with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods.
7. Providing guidance and expertise in the fabrication of metals and composites.
8. Using statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
9. Participating in new product introduction processes to ensure manufacturability of new designs.
10. Assuring product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product and process capabilities, and establishing standards to confirm and validate manufacturing process requirements.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Manufacturing Engineer role, you must have:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
3. Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing and Lean Sigma methodologies.
4. Experience as a Process Improvement Engineer, with a track record of driving significant improvements in a manufacturing environment.
5. Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with metals and composites.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills.
8. Proficient in using CAD and other engineering software.
9. A strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, systems, and quality control.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
