Job Details

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of recent experience in a medical office or outpatient clinic setting
  • Prior experience in healthcare referrals, authorizations, and admissions
  • Background in front office operations or administrative assistance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Epic electronic health records
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate follow-up care with providers, specialists, and care team members
  • Process referrals for home health, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), and durable medical equipment (DME) as directed by case managers
  • Create and submit HMO referrals/authorizations under case manager supervision
  • Accurately document patient data in electronic systems
