Job Title: ServiceNow Consultant with PMP Certification
Location: Sacramento, CA (Remote accepted)
Job Type: Contract 12+ months
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow Consultant with PMP certification to join our dynamic team. As a key player, you will be responsible for implementing, customizing, and optimizing ServiceNow solutions to meet our business needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ServiceNow capabilities, be skilled in project management, and bring a track record of delivering successful implementations within a structured framework.
Key Responsibilities:
ServiceNow Implementation & Customization:
- Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring they align with business objectives and best practices.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform.
- Customize and configure ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, etc.) to meet specific client requirements.
Project Management (PMP):
- Manage end-to-end project lifecycle for ServiceNow implementation projects, from planning to delivery.
- Ensure project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Perform risk management and ensure effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
Stakeholder Communication & Collaboration:
- Liaise with business units, technical teams, and clients to ensure alignment of requirements and solutions.
- Lead workshops, training sessions, and meetings with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Act as a trusted advisor on ServiceNow best practices, helping clients optimize their use of the platform.
System Integration & Troubleshooting:
- Integrate ServiceNow with other business systems, applications, and platforms.
- Identify and resolve technical issues related to ServiceNow implementation and customization.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Create and maintain documentation for all implemented solutions, configurations, and customizations.
- Provide detailed reports to management on project progress, milestones, and potential risks.
Qualifications:
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification is required and NOT negotiable.
- ServiceNow certifications (Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, etc.) are a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in ServiceNow implementation and configuration.
- Proven experience in project management, including leading ServiceNow-related projects.
- Experience with multiple ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow's capabilities, features, and best practices.
- Experience in system integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Proficiency in ServiceNow development, scripting (JavaScript, GlideScript), and workflow automation.
- Strong project management skills, including scope management, risk management, and team coordination.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes and methodologies is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Agile project management frameworks is an advantage.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and their integration with ServiceNow.
- Experience with ServiceNow s Virtual Agent and AI capabilities.
