Our client is a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed startup that is transforming the shipping and logistics industry through AI-driven automation. Their solutions help logistics companies streamline complex back-office operations, optimize financial workflows, and improve invoice validation, reducing costly errors and inefficiencies in global freight operations.

As a Lead Product Designer, you will be responsible for defining and executing the UX/UI strategy for their financial automation and logistics workflow tools. You will work closely with engineering, product, and marketing teams to build data-driven applications for invoice reconciliation, freight charge validation, and accounts payable automation. This is a unique opportunity to shape the user experience for a mission-critical B2B SaaS platform in the logistics sector.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in product design, ideally within logistics, freight management, or fintech SaaS.
  • Strong UX/UI expertise in operational workflow tools, financial automation, and invoice processing solutions.
  • Experience in freight spend management, AP/AR automation, or supply chain financial audit tools.
  • Proficiency in Figma and other design tools for UI/UX, prototyping, and data visualization.
  • Ability to translate complex financial and operational data into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing within enterprise logistics or finance sectors.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working with engineering, product, and finance teams.

Responsibilities
  • Own the UX/UI strategy for financial automation and freight spend management products.
  • Design and optimize invoice processing, charge validation, and accounts payable automation workflows.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for data-heavy financial dashboards and logistics tools.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to improve adoption and engagement among logistics and finance professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
  • Define and maintain a scalable design system for consistency across the platform.
  • Lead branding and marketing design efforts, ensuring the platform is visually aligned with industry needs.
  • Mentor junior designers and help establish a strong design culture within the company.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary (up to $200K base) + significant ownership/equity.
  • Hybrid work model (NYC-based, flexible schedule).
  • Comprehensive medical benefits and unlimited PTO.
  • Work in a high-impact role at a fast-scaling startup transforming the freight industry.
  • Collaborative, mission-driven team tackling some of the biggest financial challenges in logistics.
