Power BI Developer

We re seeking a Senior Power BI Developer with deep experience in Microsoft Power Platform, AWS, and utility industry data to lead the development of scalable, insightful BI solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of cloud architecture, business intelligence, and industry-specific analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to utility operations (e.g., energy consumption, grid performance, asset management).
• Integrate data from AWS services (e.g., S3, Redshift, RDS) into Power BI using secure and efficient pipelines.
• Leverage Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) to enhance reporting workflows and user interactivity.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable visualizations.
• Implement row-level security, data governance, and compliance protocols.
• Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to BI strategy and architecture.
• Stay current with industry trends in utilities, cloud BI, and Microsoft technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Power BI development, including DAX, data modeling, and performance tuning.
• Strong proficiency with AWS data services and cloud-based data integration.
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Solid understanding of utility industry datasets, KPIs, and regulatory requirements.
• Expertise in SQL, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM methodologies and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Power BI Data Analyst Associate).
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or hybrid cloud environments is a plus.
