Job Title:          Senior Applications Engineer – Risk & Compliance (Intapp)

Location:         Remote - New York City, Washington D.C., Boston, or Atlanta Metro Areas

Position:          Full-Time Direct Hire

 

TalentFish is casting a line for a Senior Applications Engineer. This is a full-time, remote position with our premier global client. Though the position is considered remote, candidates must reside within driving distance (70 miles) from New York, NY - Washington D.C. - Boston, MA - or Atlanta, GA.

 

Overview

Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Enterprise Applications, this position serves as the IT owner for several key applications and platforms used by the firm's New Business Intake and Conflicts teams. These include Intapp Conflicts, Intake, Walls, Terms, and related systems.

This highly skilled technical role is responsible for extending the business's use of these tools while ensuring their ongoing health, security, and stability. The Senior Applications Engineer will also help lead the firm's migration of its risk platform to the cloud and work closely with stakeholders to define strategy around new capabilities.

 

What You'll Do (Skills Used in This Position)

  • Serve as IT owner for all applications supporting the firm's risk and compliance functions, including Intapp Conflicts, Intake, Walls, and Terms.
  • Lead the planning and migration of the on-premise Intapp platform to the cloud; identify new capabilities that support business needs.
  • Collaborate with the conflicts and intake teams to analyze workflows, business processes, application features, and configurations.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders to understand needs and propose solutions.
  • Deliver recommendations to business and IT leadership based on platform expertise and roadmap insights.
  • Build and maintain a strong partnership with Intapp to influence product features and bug fixes.
  • Support application implementations, upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and long-term roadmaps.
  • Oversee and manage assigned solutions to ensure system health and stability.
  • Monitor, track, and report on system performance and capacity; responsible for capacity planning.
  • Work with IT teams to develop and deliver enhancements and new capabilities; drive and manage these efforts.
  • Maintain current and accurate architecture and support documentation.
  • Follow IT processes including Change Management, SDLC, and Incident Management.
  • Collaborate on training and QA materials related to supported applications.
  • Provide coaching to junior analysts and coordinate work across on-site, off-site, and offshore team members.
  • Partner with QA on test scripts, procedures, and remediation.

 

What You Bring to the Role (Ideal Experience)

  • Strong communication, organization, negotiation, critical-thinking, and leadership skills.
  • Deep understanding of Intapp configuration tools (Forms, Workflows, data sets).
  • Knowledge of cloud systems, integrations, and release management.
  • Experience with integrations such as APIs, web services, FTP, and database-to-database connections.
  • Awareness of AI/GenAI applications in legal tech and IT environments.
  • Ability to work with SQL Server, SQL queries, and reporting tools.
  • Experience with project management tools including Confluence and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with security and data governance best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly effective in collaborative team environments.

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of information technology experience.
  • 5+ years supporting enterprise platforms.
  • 3+ years working with Intapp Conflicts, Intake, Walls, and Terms or related risk/compliance platforms.
  • 3+ years of executive-level engagement and customer service experience preferred.
  • 3+ years in a professional services or legal environment preferred.
  • 3+ years supporting cloud/SaaS solutions.

 

Compensation and Employment
This role requires authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. The annual salary range for this position is $140,000 - $190,000 per year plus discretionary bonus, depending on experience and qualifications. This role also qualifies for full comprehensive employee benefits. TalentFish is committed to pay transparency and equal opportunity.
