Job Title: Network Security DevOps Engineer
Location: Spring, TX (Onsite)
Duration: 12 months contract

Summary
Client is seeking a Network Security DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage enterprise network security across global environments. This role supports firewalls, IDS/IPS, automation, and cloud security while collaborating closely with network, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security technologies across data centers, offices, and edge environments.
• Operate and maintain security appliances (Fortinet, Cisco ASA/FTD, Juniper SRX).
• Drive automation using DevOps tools and practices (GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Python, REST APIs, Jenkins).
• Support security operations such as monitoring, analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Evaluate security advisories and provide remediation recommendations.
• Develop documentation and operational processes for ongoing support.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, project teams, and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation for global support.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on network security experience.
• Strong experience with firewalls: Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet, Juniper SRX.
• Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, OSI model, routing/switching, ACLs.
• Experience with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, authentication, and vulnerability management.
• Familiarity with AWS & Azure network security.
• Preferred certifications: CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, GIAC.

Technical Skills

• TCP/IP, IPS/IDS, firewall virtualization, VPN, NAT, DNS.
• Automation tools: GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Jinja2, YAML.
• CI/CD exposure is a plus.

• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Self-driven, analytical, and highly collaborative.
• Ability to multitask and work independently in a global team.
