Locations: 100% onsite (free parking at both offices)
1. Baltimore, MD 21231 - primary location
2. Owings Mills, MD 21117- occasional need to support this office
Schedule: Mon - Fri,8am to 5pm EST (no on-call, no OT)
Contract: initially 6 months and then can renew every 6 months from there
Dress Code: Corporate Professional

A Day in the Life

- Ensuring all meeting rooms are fully operational prior to use, including audio, video, and control systems.
- Performing preventative maintenance and testing on rooms scheduled for upcoming meetings or events.
- Responding to support requests through the organization's ticketing system, addressing issues such as connectivity, sound quality, or display performance.
- Troubleshooting problems in real time to minimize disruption during live meetings.
- Coordinating with vendors or internal teams when escalations or specialized support is required.
- Maintaining accurate records of completed work, system updates, and service tickets.
This role requires balancing proactive maintenance with rapid response to service requests, ensuring that all AV systems remain reliable and user-friendly for staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and support AV systems including Cisco, Extron (GC3 & PCS), Planar panels, Q-Sys (Q-SYS Designer), Shure, and NEC panels.
- Perform system wiring, soldering, and integration work to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Interpret and implement line diagrams and technical schematics.
- Conduct routine system checks, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to resolve AV issues efficiently.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment including hand tools, amp/toner testers, and voltmeters.
- Collaborate with vendors and maintain accurate equipment records and documentation.
- Provide high-quality customer service to end users during installations, meetings, and events.
- Support physical setup, teardown, and transportation of AV equipment as required.
- Ensure timely completion of assignments, project deadlines, and event support tasks.
- Maintain attention to detail to ensure optimal audio, video, and system performance.

Qualifications
- Previous experience as an AV Technician or in a comparable technical role.
- Demonstrated proficiency with soldering and AV system wiring.

- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to lift, transport, and set up heavy AV equipment.
- Adequate hearing and eyesight for detecting sound and video issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications (CTS, Extron, Cisco, Q-Sys, or related).
- Experience supporting enterprise-level AV systems or live events.
- Knowledge of best practices in AV operations and equipment maintenance.
