Job Description
Job Title: Data Ingestion Developer
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Ingestion Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVR (Fivetran HVR), Talend, Informatica IDMC, and AWS Glue, and will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data ingestion pipelines that support our enterprise data platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable and efficient data ingestion pipelines using HVR, Talend, IDMC, and AWS Glue.
Develop real-time and batch data integration solutions to support analytics, reporting, and operational needs.
Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Monitor and optimize data flows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across ingestion processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion and transformation.
Maintain documentation of data flows, mappings, and technical specifications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in data engineering or ETL development.
Strong hands-on experience with:
HVR for real-time data replication and change data capture (CDC).
Talend for ETL/ELT development and orchestration.
Informatica IDMC for cloud-native data integration.
AWS Glue for serverless data transformation and cataloging.
Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell).
Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS (S3, Redshift, Lambda, etc.).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data lake architectures.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards.
Certifications in AWS, Talend, or Informatica are a plus.
