Requirement

  • Mechanical system design from scratch, including stress/fatigue analysis, load/acceleration calculations, and risk assessment.
  • Development of system documentation (design descriptions, test plans, maintenance/job plans).
  • CAD design/drafting using AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
  • Design/troubleshooting of pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of amusement ride safety standards (ASTM) and guest safety requirements.
  • Hazard analysis & redundancy design (minimizing single points of failure).
  • Technical lead and mentoring of junior engineers/technicians.
  • Small project management ($50k $250k), including planning, scheduling, purchasing, subcontractor management.
  • Experience: 5 7+ years in mechanical system design, stress/failure analysis, and system integration.
  • Technical Skills: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, mechanical calculations, pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Amusement rides / attractions / entertainment systems.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, customer focus.
  • Other: Proficiency with MS Office, ability to work cross-functionally, physical capability for on-site environments.
