Job Details

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst - Registrar
Location: Columbia, MD (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Contract Type: 6-month Contract-to-Hire

Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Systems Analyst with strong experience in Banner Student, Degree Works, and Registrar modules. This role will support Institutional Support Services (ISS) by enhancing student and registrar systems, driving data-informed decisions, and leading continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with strong analytical and project leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis, design, testing, and implementation of enhancements in student and registrar systems.
  • Support multiple institutions by gaining deep understanding of registrar policies and system configurations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize business systems and analytics tools.
  • Manage projects, ensure timely delivery, and communicate progress via dashboards and reports.
  • Validate data, develop UAT processes, and adhere to change control protocols.
  • Perform daily system maintenance, coordinate with IT on data integration, and resolve technical issues.
  • Mentor junior analysts and lead project tasks related to student finance system implementations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Technology, Business, Analytics, or Education
  • 3+ years as a Business Systems Analyst
  • Hands-on experience with Banner Student, Degree Works, and Registrar modules
  • Proven ability to design business solutions and translate them into system requirements
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects in complex IT environments
  • Strong business process modeling and system configuration skills
