Job Title: Business Analyst

Duration: 12 months + Long-term contract supporting modernization efforts

Location: Fully onsite Boise, ID

Expected Hours Per Week: 40

Interview: In-Person Interviews

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst to find opportunities to improve business processes through changes in operations and/or through technological implementations. This position will be full-time and onsite.

What You'll Do

  • The analyst will work closely with our business-side partners to analyze and document their processes, identifying unnecessary processes and time wasters, and coming up with suggestions for improvement

  • They will be expected to write user stories in Azure DevOps to translate business needs into technical requirements

  • They will determine what all is needed, ensuring the requirements list is concise but complete

  • They will also work with product owners to prioritize requirements and help determine order of implementation for changes and features

What You'll Need

Required:

  • A solid understanding of how to find/implement business efficiencies

  • Experience working with developers in an Agile development environment is critical to success

  • Experience working with software development teams

  • 3 years' experience working with Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server

  • 5 years' experience working with IT departments and development teams to ensure they align with business goals

  • 5 years' experience creating detailed documentation of business requirements, processes and solutions

  • 5 years' experience working with stakeholders to identify and define business requirements

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Microsoft Clarity or similar tracking software

  • 3 years experience interpreting state and federal statutes and using them to define business processes

  • State government experience
