Job Description Senior Salesforce Solution Architect (Health Cloud)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Salesforce Solution Architect with deep expertise in Salesforce Health Cloud / Life Sciences Cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and leading enterprise-scale digital health solutions that improve patient outcomes and provider collaboration. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and cross-functional partners to ensure seamless Salesforce implementations that meet compliance and industry standards.
This is a strategic leadership role that requires a balance of technical expertise, solution design, and team mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
Lead the end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of Salesforce Health Cloud / Life Sciences Cloud solutions.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with industry best practices.
Define architecture roadmaps and ensure solution scalability, security, and compliance.
Integration Leadership
Design and oversee integration strategies using MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, RESTful APIs, Salesforce Connect, Platform Events, SOAP/HTTP/FTP.
Ensure smooth interoperability with external systems, EHR/EMR platforms, and third-party applications.
Implement best practices in data modeling, API management, and integration security (OAuth, SSL, JSON/XML).
Compliance & Security
Ensure all solutions comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, and healthcare data security standards.
Advocate for data governance and privacy-first design approaches.
Collaboration & Leadership
Partner with product owners, business analysts, and developers to deliver high-impact healthcare technology solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to Salesforce development teams.
Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in Salesforce Health Cloud for internal and client-facing discussions.
Continuous Improvement
Stay current with Salesforce platform updates, Health Cloud innovations, and integration technologies.
Recommend enhancements and improvements to optimize patient and provider engagement workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
Minimum 8+ years of Salesforce experience, with at least 3+ years focused on Health Cloud / Life Sciences Cloud.
Proven track record of enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations in the healthcare/life sciences domain.
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of patient engagement, provider collaboration, and healthcare workflows.
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft, Informatica Cloud, REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, and Platform Events.
Expertise in data modeling, integration patterns, JSON/XML, security protocols (OAuth, SSL).
Proficiency in Salesforce core clouds (Sales, Service, Experience Cloud).
Leadership & Soft Skills
Excellent solution design, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to lead technical teams and guide decision-making at the enterprise level.
Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
Certifications (Preferred)
Salesforce Application Architect / System Architect.
Salesforce Health Cloud Consultant certification.
Additional Salesforce certifications are a plus.
