Description

Research & Insights Strategist with 3+ years of experience needed for a fully remote position. Must have AM Best and HubSpot experience. Ideal candidate will come from the insurance or reinsurance industries. Must have experience translating complex datasets into actionable insights that support marketing, business development, and executive decision-making. Total comp is up to 105K with some flex up to 115K (salary plus 10% bonus).

The Research & Insights Strategist is responsible for driving industry intelligence, thought leadership, and competitive positioning within key market landscapes. This role involves transforming research findings into actionable go-to-market strategies and impactful content to support business development efforts. The ideal candidate is analytical, curious, skilled at translating data into insights, and comfortable working in cross-functional, remote environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Market & Competitive Research:
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, key players, and emerging issues within target markets.
  • Monitor competitor positioning, announcements, product launches, and partnerships.
  • Utilize tools like public filings, news databases, and analyst reports to synthesize findings for internal teams.

Thought Leadership & Content Creation:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop research-driven white papers, briefs, articles, and presentations.
  • Contribute to content strategy by identifying trends and recommending timely, insight-based topics.
  • Conduct SEO research to align thought leadership with organic discovery goals.
  • Support the creation of marketing collateral, campaigns, and reports to enhance business development efforts.

Insights & Strategy:
  • Translate research into actionable insights for leadership, marketing, and business development teams.
  • Inform go-to-market strategies with evidence-based positioning, messaging, and targeting recommendations.
  • Establish systems to track market shifts and evaluate strategic implications for business objectives.

CRM & Lead Management:
  • Maintain data integrity and segmentation within CRM platforms to optimize lead targeting and tracking.
  • Develop prospect lists and identify strategic outreach opportunities.
  • Accurately log lead activity to support marketing attribution and sales enablement.

Performance Metrics & Reporting:
  • Build and maintain dashboards to integrate CRM activity with research outputs for pipeline tracking and trend analysis.
  • Deliver regular briefings on competitor activity, emerging risks, and insights relevant to service lines.
  • Ensure insights are actionable and aligned with organizational objectives.


Requirements

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in competitive research, market intelligence, or insights-focused marketing.
  • Strong writing and synthesis skills; ability to transform research into compelling content.
  • Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally in remote settings.

Preferred:
  • Experience in the insurance or reinsurance industry (strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of lead generation, customer segmentation, and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with research tools such as AM Best, S& P, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency with SEO research tools like Google Analytics or SEMrush.
  • Experience building dashboards (e.g., HubSpot, Excel) to visualize data and insights.
