Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Onsite IT Support Engineer for our client's Memphis, TN location. This role requires hands-on experience with VMware environments along with general IT support for local user requests, workstation issues, and smart hands support (basic network/hardware troubleshooting). The candidate must be available to work onsite at the factory/warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and support VMware environments, including deployment, maintenance, and performance optimization.
- Provide local IT support for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Handle smart hands requests assisting remote teams by performing basic troubleshooting or physical tasks (e.g., cabling, hardware swaps, network port checks).
- Set up and support user workstations, printers, and other end-user devices.
- Respond promptly to IT service requests and incidents from onsite staff.
- Collaborate with remote infrastructure and application teams as needed.
- Ensure IT compliance and asset management at the location.
Requirements:
- Proven experience with VMware technologies (vSphere, ESXi, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with Windows OS, end-user support, and basic networking.
- Prior experience in a factory/warehouse IT environment is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
