Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) Migration Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead and support the migration of SAP SolMan environments in a secure enterprise landscape. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in SolMan upgrades, migrations, and integrations across SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and satellite systems, with strong experience working in security cleared, compliance-driven environments.

This role requires collaboration with Basis, Security, Cloud, and Functional teams to ensure a smooth migration aligned with DoD, FedRAMP, and DISA security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as SME for SAP Solution Manager migration projects (7.2 and beyond).
  • Lead planning, strategy, and execution of SolMan upgrades and migrations to new platforms (e.g., cloud, HANA DB, NS2 environments).
  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, and post-migration validation.
  • Migrate SolMan capabilities including:
    • ChaRM / Retrofit
    • ITSM / Incident & Change Mgmt.
    • System Monitoring (CCMS, MAI, E2E)
    • Test Suite & BPCA
    • Technical Monitoring / Root Cause Analysis
  • Integrate SolMan with ECC, S/4HANA, PI/PO, BW, and third-party tools.
  • Ensure migration aligns with DoD cybersecurity requirements, STIGs, and ATO processes.
  • Optimize SolMan landscape for performance, scalability, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot SolMan migration issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Create migration runbooks, architecture documentation, and SOPs.
  • Provide knowledge transfer and guidance to project and operations teams.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of SAP Basis / SolMan experience, with at least 5+ years as a SolMan Migration SME.
  • Deep expertise in SolMan 7.2 migrations, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Strong background in SAP HANA, Linux/Windows OS, and database migrations.
  • Experience with ChaRM, ITSM, Monitoring, Test Suite, and LMDB.
  • Hands-on experience in DoD / cleared environments with STIG hardening.
  • Ability to design and execute complex migration strategies across multi-system SAP landscapes.
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP NS2, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government environments.
  • SAP certifications (SAP Basis, SolMan 7.2, HANA, Security+).
  • Familiarity with SAP Focused Build and Focused Insights.
  • Prior DoD/IC project delivery experience with an active Secret/Top Secret clearance.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills for working with stakeholders, auditors, and leadership.
