Role: Solutions Architect (Contract through Q1 2025)

About the Role
This role supports a digital modernization effort, guiding the shift from legacy infrastructure to scalable, cloud-based systems. The architect will partner closely with product owners, development teams, and business stakeholders to define architecture, mentor teams, and ensure alignment to enterprise strategy.
Environment & Tools
Work includes Microsoft-centric solutions cloud infrastructure, server-side code, front-end UI components, and real-time dashboard visualizations. Projects also involve system integrations and API-based communication.
Key Focus Areas
Architecture & Strategy
Define system blueprints for cloud-first applications
Translate business needs into scalable technical designs
Author architectural documentation for current and future state
Lead design reviews and enforce modern best practices
Development Oversight
Advise on backend, frontend, and integration patterns
Deliver prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions
Set quality expectations and coach dev teams on execution
Maintain a low-debt codebase through architectural guidance
Team Enablement
Promote team culture grounded in continuous improvement
Support engineers with mentoring and architectural coaching
Introduce frameworks and standards for solution design
Security & Governance
Partner with InfoSec to align solutions with risk policies
Embed secure design thinking into technical planning
External Collaboration
Act as liaison with vendors and external technical partners
Validate partner solutions align with enterprise architecture
Requirements
7+ years in solution design or software architecture roles
Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure environments
Fluent in application lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, agile practices
Proven experience modernizing legacy systems to cloud-native stacks
Skilled at engaging across technical and non-technical teams
Strong documentation and communication abilities
Preferred
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Background in technical leadership or mentoring roles
