JOB TITLE : Business Analyst (Data Specialization)

LOCATION: Charlotte, NC/ Remote

TYPE: Contract

RATE : $70 per hour on W2 (Without Benefits)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Business Analyst to work onsite with our client, driving business requirements gathering and translating them into detailed technical specifications for data ingestion into Microsoft Fabric Medallion Architecture. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technical teams to ensure a smooth and efficient data integration process from multiple source systems into Microsoft Fabric.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in a data-focused environment.
  • Strong understanding of data ingestion and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Fabric or similar products and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
  • Understanding of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage principles.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Power BI and other Microsoft data visualization tools.
  • Exposure to Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and other Azure data services.
  • Familiarity with industry standards for data security and compliance.
