Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician IV to support Mobility Platform Integration at our WestGate facility in Crane, IN. This role is part of a dynamic team supporting U.S. Marine Corps vehicle programs and focuses on technical integration, visual identification support, and hands-on mechanical tasks. The technician will also serve as the primary point of contact for all labeling and stenciling work required for these platforms.

The successful candidate will operate and maintain multiple labeling and stencil production systems, generate accurate drafts using design software, and interpret engineering documentation to ensure compliance with technical specifications.

Job duties include but may not be limited to:
  • Produce labels, placards, and stencils using various machines including thermal printers, plotters, and stencil cutters
  • Use design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD) to create, edit, and finalize label and stencil layouts
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and data packages to ensure accuracy of all markings
  • Draft and revise templates and technical documentation as required
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure timely execution of integration projects
  • Maintain labeling/stenciling equipment, supplies, and product inventory
  • Follow established safety, quality control, and configuration management procedures

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma and at least 10 years of relevant experience in a technical or mechanical support role, with a strong emphasis on visual identification systems
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems and technical integration projects, preferably in a DoD or military environment
  • Proficiency with design and drafting software such as Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, or similar tools
  • Ability to read, understand, and generate technical drawings and documentation
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality outputs under tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

DESIRED
  • Experience supporting tactical or mobility platforms such as JLTV, ULTV, MTVR, or similar
  • Familiarity with DoD labeling and stenciling standards
  • Knowledge of military integration and configuration management processes
