What you will do:
Johnson Controls invites you to apply for an internship located in Wichita, Ks. This internship is designed to provide you with positive work/training experience and challenging objectives. Specific identified internship responsibilities are outlined below.
How you will do it:
- Work as part of the Hardware Engineering team
- Participate in HW development from concept to production
- Support design, documentation, and testing with guidance from senior engineers
What we look for
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Completed sophomore year working towards a BS or completed first year of an MS degree.
- Qualified majors: Mechanical Engineering.
- Computer proficient; with experience in MS Office, MS Project, CAD (preferably CREO) or other software-based engineering design tool.
- Just be familiar with product design and testing.
- Strong analytical ability to solve programs and ability to learn quickly.
- Strong written & verbal communication skills to generate process instructions and reports.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams with minimum guidance.
- Ability to follow a structured project management process including document meeting minutes, action items, and monitor progress.
- Previous business internship/co-op experiences with strong business acumen beneficial (preferably not required)
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.
