Job Details
Radiance Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company, is seeking candidates for a Mission Application Engineer to support a U.S. Space Army program. This position requires a talented and experienced Mission Application Engineer with experience in Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) to contribute to a larger multidisciplined engineering team to support the analysis/feasibility, planning/requirements, design, system development, testing, deployment, maintenance, evaluation, and disposition/disposal of a spacecraft payload. The Mission Application Engineer will design, simulate, synthesize and test payload designs and be required to apply out-of-the-box thinking to develop novel, non-traditional designs. Must work well in a small, fast-paced and mission-driven environment.

Desired Qualifications
- MS in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields
- Modeling and Simulation SME provides executive-level insight to NAVWAR engineering support.
- Experience in formulating operational concepts; performing mission, functional, cost-benefit and risk analysis; developing signal processing architecture and overall system architecture.
- Provide research and development of multi-function small form factor payloads for completing NAVWAR-based missions.
- Develop and analyze models of novel algorithmic concepts to produce distributed electronic sensing effects for NAVWAR payloads.
- Utilize EW signal processing algorithms that enable threat detection and identification for employing countermeasures.
- Develop systems to support GPS system hardening to prevent NAVWAR effects on blue force systems
- Develop RF hardware and software solutions for integrating EW, Comms, and Radar missions into a small form factor payload.
- Investigate heterogeneous sensing concepts across different platforms (i.e. manned and unmanned, high altitude ISR, ALE, etc.). Investigate sensing approaches with passive modes.
- Design and implement testing of RF and other hardware portions of software defined radio frameworks
- Reverse engineer existing NAVWAR signal processing solutions
- Synthesize and allocate system requirements, and derive requirements to ensure the system architecture is fully defined, understood, and compliant to mission needs
- Support development and implementation of client requirements for RF solutions including services, products, technologies and capabilities which encompass airborne mission environments.
- Performs Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing on systems that can be impacted by denial/deception of PNT/GPS
- Support technical reviews of vendor hardware and software products and deliverables, interface development and development of software algorithms and models for simulation.
- Research of the state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms.
Required Skills/Experience
- ship with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance
- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other relevant fields
- Knowledge of RF hardware systems and testing equipment.
- Seven (6+) years NAVWAR experience
- Experience implementing complex designs in Verilog/VHDL for FPGA platforms
- Hands-on experience with JTAG debuggers, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers
- Knowledge of Linux and Petalinux.
- Will require innovation, quick learning, excellent communication skills and adaptive thinking.
- C/C++ or other embedded programming languages
Required Tool Experience
- Microsoft Office Products
