Role Title: Workday Payroll Consultant
Duration: 6+ Months (Contract, with potential for extension)
Location: Remote (Must be available to work Eastern Time hours)
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Workday Payroll Consultant to support our internal HRIS and Payroll operations team. This individual will work closely with the internal Workday Payroll Administrator to manage and resolve a high volume of user enhancement requests and production support tickets. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on configuration expertise in Workday Payroll, strong troubleshooting skills, and a collaborative mindset to ensure timely and accurate payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the internal Payroll Administrator to triage, analyze, and resolve Payroll-related issues and enhancement requests in Workday.
- Configure, test, and deploy Payroll changes including earnings, deductions, tax setup, pay components, and period schedules.
- Ensure seamless integration between Payroll and Benefits, verifying configuration accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Participate in regression and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new releases or enhancements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Benefits, Finance, and IT to ensure payroll accuracy and system efficiency.
- Document configuration updates, testing results, and process improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Workday Payroll configuration experience, including deep functional knowledge of pay components, deductions, and tax setup.
- Proven experience supporting Payroll integrations with Benefits and other downstream systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and compliance.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
