A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Technical Product Analyst for our client in the McLean, VA area.



Overview:




  • Seeking a skilled Technical Product Analyst with a strong background in data analysis, financial systems, and Azure data platforms.




  • This role bridges the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, with a focus on delivering robust reporting solutions, optimizing data products, and supporting financial reconciliation processes.




  • The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Azure Data Services, Power BI, and financial reporting systems, along with strong business analysis skills to drive data-focused product initiatives.

Responsibilities:




  • Evaluate and enhance data and reporting solutions, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical capabilities.




  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear technical specifications for reporting, data models, and analytics solutions.




  • Design and manage semantic layers in Azure Data Services to support scalable reporting across the organization.




  • Work with data lakes to query and manage large datasets efficiently for reporting and analysis.




  • Develop Power BI dashboards and reports that deliver actionable insights to business users.




  • Lead efforts around payment data reconciliation and general ledger reporting, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.




  • Collaborate closely with finance, technology, and risk stakeholders to deliver impactful data and reporting products.




  • Contribute to the ongoing evaluation of technology solutions, tools, and industry trends to support continuous improvement.




Qualifications:




  • 7-10+ years of experience in reporting, data analysis, and reconciliation of financial data.




  • Strong proficiency with Azure Data Services, including building and managing semantic models.




  • Familiarity with data lake architectures and querying large datasets.




  • Advanced skills in Power BI for creating dashboards and reports.




  • Experience working with general ledger systems and financial reporting processes.




  • Strong business analysis skills: gathering, documenting, and translating requirements.




  • Background in financial services or fintech environments.




  • Familiarity with product management and analysis tools.




  • Understanding of technology product evaluation and trends.




  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
