Russell Tobin & Associates is currently seeking an experienced Associate Designer to support our client, a well-known retail brand, at their Manhattan, NY location. Contract: 3-Month Contract, W2 (extension possible)
Location: Hybrid - Manhattan, NY (3 days onsite/week)
Pay Rate: $30-37/HR W2 (Depending on Experience)

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled Designer to support their body design team. The ideal candidate will be highly creative, detail-oriented, and experienced in (Comfort, support, style.) Everyday Bras, panties, sleepwear.

Responsibilities:

  • Create brand-right, commercially viable designs aligned with seasonal concepts

  • Develop styles with a focus on fit, fabric, silhouette, and performance

  • Execute Illustrator sketches, tech packs, and spec updates

  • Adapt designs based on feedback and fitting results

  • Participate in weekly fittings to ensure accuracy of design intent

  • Maintain accurate colored CADs and PLM system updates

  • Prepare presentations and support regular internal design meetings

  • Conduct competitor and trend research across platforms

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and vendors

  • Maintain efficiency while meeting design excellence, time, and budget constraints

Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • Bachelor s degree in Design or related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a retail design environment

  • Strong (Comfort, support, style.) Everyday Bras, panties, sleepwear experience

  • Advanced Adobe Illustrator skills (fast and accurate)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of fashion trends, market demands, and styling details

  • Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills

  • Must be highly motivated, humble, creative, and team-oriented

Preferred:

  • Experience with PLM systems

  • Photoshop, InDesign, and hand sketching skills

  • Understanding of the female body silhouette
