Senior System Administrator

A Senior System Administrator will work with external vendors and partners, internal DLA teams, end users and PM owners to prevent and correct application and/or environment outages for Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure, to ensure effective daily operation and to resolve problems as they arise. Support Task 4 Cloud Architecture Support drafting, developing, and maintaining documentation and recommendations on cloud design and usage in compliance with DoD Cloud Architecture. Assist in creating cloud level Policy and Plans supporting security, compliance, Concept of Operations, Authority to Operate, and Risk Management Framework. Review security services, designs, regulations, and controls to ensure compliance and make recommendations that are compliant. Provide advisement of cloud level security Controls, NIST requirements, DoDIN Cloud Security Checklist, Cloud STIGS, Industry Cloud best practices, and Risk Management Framework documentation. Review and approve ECRs and CIPs for changes in DLAs Cloud Hosted Environments and will create or guide the customer through the Enterprise Change Request (ECR) development process and Change Implementation Plan (CIP) process, reviewing documentation for correctness, adherence to design concepts, and vetting customer requirements. Provide direct interaction with stakeholders, assist in and complete submissions of project required documentation that aligns with DLA SOPs. Make recommendations to assist in reducing device sprawl, ensuring VMs are right sized, and to convert standard items to XaaS.

ENIOR SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR:

  • Ensures the stable operation of the in-house computer software systems and network connections. This includes
  • planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software and
  • communication links. Analyzes and resolves end user software program and connectivity issues. Provides end user
  • training. Provide recommendations on technology direction to align with business vision. Will be required to provide
  • both local and remote maintenance support to various operational systems deployed at more than one location.
  • Support includes general maintenance, upgrades, and new installs of servers and applications. Applies advanced
  • technical knowledge of application networking, including load balancing applications, and ensuring fault tolerance.
  • Performs vulnerability management.

Key Personnel:

Minimum Experience:

  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in the field of Information Processing, six of which are specialized in numerous specialized Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware/software solutions, four of which are concentrated, hand-on experience in installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.

Security/Certification Requirements:

If job duty assignment requires Privileged access, must possess the following:

Sensitivity Level: IT-I Critical Sensitive

Clearance: Secret

IA Level: IAT II

8570.01-M Baseline Certification to include application, data, database, utility or software tools

administration which require Privileged Access

Computing Environment: Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert Windows Server 2016 (MCSE WS

2016) or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (MC Azure SAE),

DLA CE Cert IA Role/Function: CE Admin

Security+

Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
