Responsibilities for the Redshift Developer
- Extensive Redshift database experience
- Recent Amazon Redshift experience
- Create and maintain complex stored procedures/packages for Redshift
- Create and maintain database schemas for Redshift
- Create and maintain partitions in oracle to facilitate query performance and data maintenance
- Maintain the existing applications and enhance the system as per client requirements.
- Modify existing procedures/packages to incorporate new functionalities.
- UNIX Shell scripting
- Analyze system issues and devise and execute remediation plans.
- Perform code reviews and bug fixing.
- Conduct performance tuning of existing queries and packages.
- Comply with all required standards and processes and devise approach to ensure compliance across the team.
- Provide complete technical and maintenance support to the systems.
- Run the assigned projects solo as well as working as a team.
- Use of Redshift, PL/SQL, SQL Developer, PuTTY, Shell Scripting, UNIX, and Linux.
- Interact directly with the customer on behalf of the team to resolves issues or identify new requirements to be addressed by the team
Qualifications for the Redshift Developer
- Bachelor s Degree in a Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 10 plus years of experience in IT
- Experience with Redshift database
- AWS Experience
- 7-8 years of PL/SQL development experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Understanding and knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle
- Maintains strong attention to detail in high-pressure situations
- Exhibit confidence and knowledge in solving problems
- Work well independently and within a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge
- Able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance and must have been within US for the last 5 years with no cumulative travel outside the US exceeding 6 months.
