Job Details

Title: Project Management Lead

Location: Austin, TX (Remote)

Client: Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) -(5338826PL3)

Duration: 12+ Months

Due date: 07/30/2025

Position may require team members to come into the office; there may be unscheduled requests with seventy-two (72) hour notice for any TWC business need. If applicable, the work location will be at 101 E. 15th Street, Austin, Texas 78778

Description:

Performs project coordination work as a member of the Information Technology (IT) Project Management Office, supporting one or more projects concurrently. Work involves coordinating the initiation, planning, scheduling, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing of assigned Worker(s) tasks. Collaborates with all IT staff and business customers to accomplish work. Responsible for the planning, coordination, project planning, project monitoring, and project status reporting and system implementation of moderate to complex business solutions.

  • Provide technical assistance to Projects Managers with documenting plans, schedules, status reports, meetings, and/or change requests.
  • Work directly with project managers to help implement project goals and ensure timely project execution.
  • Provide status updates on assigned work to other project managers.
  • Work with data related to project execution.
  • Assist with coordination of tasks during project execution.
  • Assist with test coordination (System Testing, User Acceptance Testing).
  • Assist with the planning, development and coordination of communications.
  • Assist with the planning, development and coordination of training activities.
  • Schedule and organize meetings. Facilitate and take notes during meetings, communicating results, action items, and decisions to necessary recipients.

Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations

Required Skills:

4-7 Years of Experience in project management in relevant areas of project assignment, research and/or planning

4-7 Years of Provide technical assistance to Project Managers

4-7 Years of Monitor the daily progress of projects

4-7 Years of Plan meetings and organizing project logistics

4-7 Years of Provide detailed updates to project managers or other stakeholders

4-7 Years of Coordinate assigned special projects and update project information

4-7 Years of Experience with Training and Communications

4-7 Years of Ability and desire to work collaboratively to ensure successful project execution

4-7 Years of Working knowledge Microsoft Office

4-7 Years of Proven ability to generate and deliver reports that provide useful insight into project details

4-7 Years of Highly organized and detail-oriented with a passion for ensuring projects proceed efficiently and effectively

Preferred Skills:

1 Year of Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification

1 Year of State of Texas experience

Texas Workforce Commission experience
