Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electromechanical Technician with a strong background in electronics, test systems, and medical device environments. The ideal candidate will support new test system development, equipment validation, and production builds. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for improving business performance and product quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic test systems, equipment, and new product builds.
- Create and interpret electronic schematics, perform soldering, and work with integrated circuits.
- Maintain detailed and accurate technical documentation, including SOPs, test protocols, and validation reports.
- Serve as a mentor to junior technicians; provide training on procedures, tools, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Collaborate with engineers, quality, and production teams to ensure successful product development and system reliability.
- Interface with internal and external customers to support project timelines and product performance expectations.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems and regulatory standards related to medical device manufacturing.
Required Qualifications:
- AA degree or equivalent work experience in electronics, electro-mechanical assemblies, or electrical systems.
- 2-4 years of experience in electronics and integrated circuits.
- 1-2 years of experience in medical device environments.
- Strong working knowledge of schematics, test system development, and electronic product validation.
- IPC-A-610 certification.
- Proficiency in technical writing with strong documentation practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Self-motivated and well-organized, with the ability to manage tasks independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
- LabVIEW experience or certification (2+ years).
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software (3+ years).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with maintaining large production equipment.
- Certified or demonstrated experience in technical writing, with ability to produce detailed documents for internal teams and vendors.
- Proven ability to make technical recommendations based on root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
