RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Belcamp, MD that is seeking an AI/ML Engineer.
Data Integration & Management:
* Ingest, organize, and manage large-scale, complex geospatial datasets from various sources (satellite imagery, drone footage, sensor data, open-source intelligence, etc.)
* Design and implement robust data pipelines for efficient processing, transformation, and storage of geospatial and related intelligence data within the company
* Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with security and privacy regulations for sensitive military data
AI/Machine Learning Development:
* Develop and deploy AI/ML models for tasks such as: Object detection and classification in imagery (e.g., identifying vehicles, infrastructure, threats); Predictive analytics for threat assessment, resource allocation, and operational planning; Natural Language Processing (NLP) for analyzing textual intelligence reports and linking them to geospatial contexts; Generative AI/Large Language Models (LLMs) for data categorization, summarization, and trend identification
* Integrate AI/ML capabilities seamlessly into geospatial analysis workflows and operational decision-making tools
* Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and real-time operational outcomes, even in low-latency environments
Geospatial Application Development:
* Design and develop interactive geospatial applications and visualizations within the company's AI platforms
* Create common operating pictures, alert-triaging systems, and resource allocation planning tools driven by AI/ML models
* Implement spatial analysis algorithms and tools to support diverse military intelligence requirements
* Focus on creating user-oriented workflows and solutions that provide a seamless and intuitive user experience for military personnel
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, Physics, Geospatial Science, or a related technical field
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
