About the Opportunity
Are you ready to roll up your
sleeves and make a real impact? We're looking for a Fraud Analyst who
thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This is a contract
opportunity to join one of Canada's largest and most respected financial
institutions outside the Big 5, where innovation, agility, and integrity drive

This role is perfect for someone
who's not afraid to dig into the details, ask tough questions, and take
ownership of fraud detection and prevention strategies. You'll be part of a
collaborative team that values curiosity, accountability, and a proactive
mindset.
What You'll Be Doing
Investigate and analyze
suspicious transactions across multiple channels (digital, card, payments,
etc.)
Monitor fraud detection systems
and escalate potential threats in real time
Collaborate with internal teams
(Risk, Compliance, Operations) to strengthen fraud controls
Identify fraud trends and
contribute to the development of mitigation strategies
Prepare detailed reports and
support regulatory or audit requests
Recommend process improvements to
enhance fraud prevention and detection
What You Bring
2-4 years of experience in fraud
analysis, financial crimes, or risk management
Strong analytical and
investigative skills with a keen eye for anomalies
Experience with fraud detection
tools (e.g., Actimize, SAS, Verafin, or similar)
Ability to work independently and
take initiative in ambiguous situations
Excellent communication skills
and a collaborative spirit
Knowledge of Canadian banking
regulations and fraud typologies is a strong asset
