Responsibilities
The SailPoint Developer (IAM Specialist) will be a critical member of our Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineering team, driving the modernization of identity services and access governance through the design, implementation, and support of scalable IAM solutions using SailPoint IdentityIQ and shall be reporting to the Manager, Identity and Access Management.
This role will play a key part in securing enterprise systems, ensuring compliance, and enabling automation across identity lifecycle events (Joiner, Mover, Leaver). The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, subject matter expertise in IAM design and engineering, and a proactive mindset to strengthen our enterprise security posture.

- Design & Development
- Engineer and configure SailPoint IdentityIQ platforms to support identity governance and lifecycle management.
- Build and maintain complex workflows, provisioning connectors, rules, policies, roles, and certification campaigns.
- Design and document IAM solutions, including custom connectors and REST/SOAP API integrations with enterprise applications.
- IAM Process Modernization
- Analyze and document current access control processes; identify and implement automation and modernization strategies.
- Recommend and implement best-practice IAM standards, access models (RBAC, ABAC), and security policies.
- Compliance & Auditing
- Develop IGA workflows to support IAM audit and compliance activities, ensuring alignment with internal controls and regulatory standards (HIPAA, SOX, etc.).
- Develop audit-friendly documentation and support internal and external audit requests.
- Leadership & Support
- Act as a Level 3 SME and escalation point for complex IAM issues.
- Mentor IAM analysts and support staff, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Lead Agile sprint ceremonies, contributing to planning, prioritization, and delivery of IAM features.
- Work independently with the business to explain technical concepts in lay form to promote engagement and collaboration
- Documentation & Process
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and process diagrams.
- Ensure content quality, accessibility, and consistency across all IAM artifacts.
Required Qualifications
- Experience
- 7+ years in IAM/security roles, including 2+ years in a senior technical or lead position preferably in Healthcare.
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or SailPoint IdentityNow.
- Strong experience with identity lifecycle flows, access certifications, role modeling, and governance and application onboarding to the sailpoint IGA platform.
- Technical Skills
- Proficient in IAM protocols and standards: SCIM, SAML, OAuth2, OIDC.
- Strong experience with Active Directory, Azure AD, Google Cloud Platform/GWS and cloud identity providers.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., BeanShell, PowerShell, Java, or Python).
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms and secure provisioning across diverse platforms.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, web services, and connector development.
- Solid grasp of ITIL and Agile methodologies.
- Compliance & Security
- Deep knowledge of IAM security best practices and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, SOX, etc.).
- Experience performing and supporting security audits and reviews.
- Soft Skills
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a highly regulated healthcare or financial services environment.
- Prior experience in leading IAM engineering projects.
