Job Title: Inventory & Asset Manager Network Equipment
Location: Rockville, MD
Job Type: Long Term Contract

Contractor will provide candidates with operational experience for setting up, managing, and administering an inventory and asset management system for network inventory and assets.
- Responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle tracking and management of all network infrastructure inventory and assets, such as switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, phones, PDUs, UPSs, cables, and the like.
- Responsible for tracking and managing all incoming and outgoing network inventory and assets which includes receiving, tagging, staging, deploying, decommissioning, and disposing of network inventory and assets (as appropriate).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all network inventory and assets, including serial numbers, configurations, locations, and lifecycle status.
- Ensures the accuracy, availability and accountability of network inventory and assets through structured inventory and asset management practices and the effective use of Monday.com as the centralized platform for tracking, managing workflows, and reporting inventory and assets.
- Develop and maintain inventory and asset management boards, dashboards, and automation workflows in Monday.com.
- Create templates and status trackers for procurement requests, RMA processes, warranty tracking, and maintenance schedules.
- Generate reports and visualizations on stock levels, equipment utilization and procurement forecasts.
- Balance maintaining optimum (minimal-cost) inventory levels with managing supply chain distribution (just-in-time delivery) to ensure timely response for service repairs and keeping network projects on schedule.
- Collaborate with network engineers and IT operations teams to forecast equipment needs and support network expansion projects.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Finance to manage vendor orders, shipping, invoicing, and inventory and asset disposal processes.
- Track warranty and support contracts for critical infrastructure components.
- Integrate Monday.com with other enterprise tools (e.g., ERP, Service Now, CMDB, or procurement systems) to streamline data flow and reporting.
- Develop, provide training, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for network inventory and asset handling, documentation, and management.
- Implement best practices for asset classification, inventory management, and lifecycle tracking.
- Conduct regular audits, reconciliations, and physical verifications to ensure inventory and asset integrity.
- Support internal and external audits with complete and accurate documentation.
- Provide regular reports on network inventory and asset value, lifecycle status, and upcoming replacement schedules.
- Ensure adherence to IT asset and inventory management policies, cybersecurity standards, and audit requirements.
- Other such duties as assigned.
Contractor will provide candidate(s) who have the technical acumen in network hardware with strong organisational, inventory, asset, and data management skills and a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with:
- Managing network inventory and assets, administering Monday.com and ServiceNow, generating workflows, reports and dashboards, and ensuring inventory and asset processes are efficient and effective and align with operational and information security goals.
- Technical writing, to include training material, technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and process documentation.
- Organisational and leadership skills.
- Microsoft Office applications, to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint.
- Data analysis, generating reports, and weekly status reports.
