Job Description

You will be a Test Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in Lufkin, Texas, serving as a dedicated engineer for THAAD ground support test engineering. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, and you will play a key role in integrating, testing, documenting, verifying, and validating software and hardware for a test set supporting THAAD ground support.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for integrating, testing, documenting, verifying, and validating software and hardware for a test set supporting THAAD ground support. You will also be responsible for producing test engineering documentation, reports, and drawings, and performing root cause analysis of failures on units under test or test sets. You will provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems and collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams.

Your responsibilities will include:
Integrating, testing, documenting, verifying, and validating software and hardware for a test set supporting THAAD ground support
Producing test engineering documentation, reports, and drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics)
Performing root cause analysis of failures on units under test or test sets
Providing technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems
Collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams
Briefing to LM senior leadership and United States Government customer
Working under minimum general direction

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of 2 years testing and debugging Automated Test Equipment or with hardware design and troubleshooting
Basic understanding of mechanical drawings, electrical drawings, interfaces, cables and general test equipment (power supplies, power meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and function generators)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Desired skills

Experience with LabView Hardware Abstraction Layer (HAL), and developing test software for ATE (Automated Test Equipment).
Experience with testing and debugging with C/C++ and Object Oriented programing languages.
Experience in leading projects and technical meetings supporting Production, Sustainment or Development programs.
Experience in performance as a Control Account Manager (CAM)
Experience in developing Basic of Estimate (BoE) for new programs.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $70,100 - $123,625. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement
