Job Summary
The Innovative Automation (IA) team governs the automation of manual business processes utilizing Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and AI framework and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Blue Prism, etc.) including developing standards, managing demand and delivery assurance. The Innovative Automation team aids the organization by automating manual tasks performed by VST Retail employees thus releasing resource capacity back to the business for other high value activities and strategic enterprise needs. Innovative Automation and works closely with business and technology stakeholders across Vistra. This position will be responsible for supporting Microsoft Power Platform-based initiatives, developing automation solutions, supporting production automations and researching new technology for integration into VST.
Job Description
Key Accountabilities:
Analyze functional and business requirements required for automation
Identify potential processes for automation and create the solution design
Develop, configure, and deploy automation solutions according to business needs and requirements.
Review, repair, and modify automation solutions to ensure technical accuracy, security compliance, and reliability standards.
Perform code review, bug fixing, and exception handling.
This role requires substantial utilization of automation software applications (e.g., Microsoft Power Platform, Blue Prism, etc.) to deliver value through reliable automated business processes.
The primary job functions center around the following categories:
Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements:
Experience working with automation application software preferred
In-depth understanding of automation capabilities, methodology, and best practices preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Above-average communication, organizational, and process mapping skills
Ability to establish working relationships with cross-functional partners
Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
Key Metrics:
Productive hours released to business groups by automating manual processes utilizing automation software application.
Exemplify standardized best practices for all automation efforts.
Maintain pipeline of manual processes and automation opportunities.
Percentage of processes automated by the desired target date.
Number of defect/rework hours as a percent of total deployment hours.
