Job Title: Sr. Project Manager - Planning

Location: Onsite - 1755 Chaplin Drive, Haslet, TX, 76247

Duration: 12+ Months

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CST

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Sr. Project Manager - Planning to oversee the entire lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects from conception to completion. This role requires a holistic view of all project queues-ensuring that every step, from floor space readiness to cabinet installation, is coordinated, tracked, and executed on time.

You will manage timelines, verify that purchasing orders are placed, follow up with procurement teams (Cisco, Dell, and other vendors), track inventory, and ensure all required components for cabinet builds are on site when needed. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, can adapt quickly to changing conditions, and understands the full device lifecycle within a project plan.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IT infrastructure and cabinet build projects from initial planning through deployment, ensuring all phases are on track
  • Monitor all project queues-identifying when a cabinet is ready, in progress, or delayed, and proactively resolving bottlenecks
  • Coordinate with purchasing teams to ensure orders for all components (Cisco, Dell, optics, cable management, etc.) are placed and tracked
  • Manage inventory for incoming and onsite equipment, ensuring readiness for installation
  • Develop and maintain project timelines, adjusting plans as needed based on current conditions and priorities
  • Maintain strong communication with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and project visibility
  • Apply agile project management methods to quickly respond to evolving requirements and conditions
  • Track device lifecycle stages and ensure assets are procured, deployed, and documented in accordance with standards
  • Lead multiple projects concurrently while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing complex IT or infrastructure projects from start to finish
  • Strong understanding of IT hardware procurement processes and vendor coordination (Cisco, Dell, etc.)
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles and device lifecycle tracking
  • Proficiency with project planning and tracking tools, as well as Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Comfortable working onsite full-time in Haslet, TX


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, or similar)
  • Experience working within large-scale telecom or IT infrastructure environments
  • Familiarity with Verizon internal systems and processes (a plus, but not required)
