Overview:

We are seeking a UAT JIRA/Reporting Specialist who will support our client. The focus of this role will be to assist the client in executing test scripts developed and approved by the State to validate that the systems meet business requirements and user expectations. This will include providing a summary report to describe testing activities during the life of the project, including UAT Test Scripts executed, risks and issues pertaining to the executed tests, and defects identified.

Duties:

  • Input, update, and maintain project and issue data in JIRA with accuracy and timeliness, ensuring all project details, tasks, and issue statuses are current.

  • Conduct daily JIRA hygiene checks to maintain data integrity, identify and resolve discrepancies or errors, and ensure compliance with established data entry standards.

  • Generate regular reports from JIRA for stakeholders, analyze data to identify patterns and trends, and collaborate with project managers to provide actionable insights based on reporting needs.

  • Document detailed defect descriptions including expected vs. observed behavior, reproduction steps, and supporting evidence while following established defect management processes and collaborating on resolution strategies.

  • Serve as primary contact for JIRA-related queries, provide training and support on JIRA best practices to team members, and offer supplemental testing support for client UAT execution.

  • Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and resolution of testing-related issues throughout project lifecycles.

  • Identify and implement process improvements for JIRA usage, data management, and reporting while staying current on JIRA updates and features to enhance team productivity.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree

  • 1 5 years of experience working with a major project or organization

  • JIRA Expertise including experience with project setup, administration, and workflow management

  • Experience in generating and analyzing reports using JIRA

Desirable Qualifications:

  • 1 5 years of experience generating IT systems, or formal training or education with IT systems

  • 2+ years' experience with healthcare systems

  • Any certifications and experience with improvement techniques (such as Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PDCA cycles, and Kanban), project management, Business Analyst, ITIL or similar.

  • Master's degree
