Job Details

Job Title: CMM Programmer

Location: Lafayette, IN 47905 (Onsite)

Duration: 6-12 months

Must have skills:

  • Proven experience as a CMM Programmer, specifically in heavy industry or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Strong proficiency in CMM software such as PC-DMIS and Calypso Expertise in reading and interpreting 2D drawings, technical specifications, and GD&T.
  • Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with CNC machining processes and tolerances.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Educational background: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field

Detailed Job Description:

  • Develop and modify CMM programs to accurately measure complex CNC machined components based on technical drawings.
  • Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications to ensure precise inspection.
  • Set up and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Perform detailed inspections of CNC machined parts, ensuring compliance with specifications and tolerances.
  • Analyse measurement data, prepare inspection reports, and document findings.
  • Collaborate closely with CNC operators, manufacturing, and engineering teams to resolve measurement issues and improve inspection procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming and measurement issues
  • Minimum years of experience: 8-15 years
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master of Engineering
