Advantage Technical is excited to partner with a premier manufacturer of advanced solutions for the defense, aerospace, and space industries. We are seeking a Machine Shop Maintenance Technician to join their team in Woburn, MA.
Pay Rate: $25 - $28/hr.
Schedule: 7:00am - 3:30pm, some overtime as needed
Key Responsibilities:
This role supports the overall maintenance of machining centers by coordinating external technical support, managing machine downtime, and maintaining a documented preventive maintenance (PM) system. Responsibilities include overseeing daily maintenance efforts through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices, as well as managing coolant systems, including regular cleaning, recharging, and maintaining oil coalescers, skimmers, and chip removal processes.

- Proficient in operating, setting up, and manually controlling CNC equipment, including coolant systems and conveyors.
- Strong mechanical skills for troubleshooting machinery and rebuilding components like vises and tool holders.
- Experience supporting a variety of technical tasks on the shop floor.
- Skilled in tracking maintenance metrics such as downtime, uptime, and response times.
- Ability to analyze and recommend improvements to optimize shop efficiency and reduce costs.
