RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Wireless Engineer II in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Englewood, CO.

Summary:
The ideal candidate will be deeply familiar with the 802.11 standard, testing methodologies, and working in a high-precision lab environment. This role involves validating Wi-Fi hardware performance, executing functional tests, and supporting early-stage development testing of next-generation connectivity solutions.

Responsibilities:
* Wireless Engineer II will perform hardware and firmware testing for Wi-Fi products in a lab environment
* Validate functionality and performance against 802.11 standards and internal benchmarks
* Use industry-standard tools and test methodologies to ensure product reliability and conformance
* Conduct detailed testing and troubleshooting of wireless devices using both conducted and OTA (Over-the-Air) setups
* Utilize Linux systems and command line tools for debugging, configuration, and automation tasks
* As a Wireless Engineer II, you will document test procedures, results, bugs, and assist with creating handoff documentation for field and automation teams
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, and QA groups, to resolve technical issues and validate performance
* Support proof-of-concept scripting to aid in the transition to automated test processes

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on experience in lab environments preferred
* Minimum 3 years of experience working with Wi-Fi technologies or in a lab-based hardware testing environment
* Deep understanding of 802.11 Wi-Fi standards and wireless fundamentals
* Proficient in using testing equipment and methodologies for wireless products
* Proficient with Linux systems and command line interface for debugging and system interaction
* Strong networking fundamentals (e.g., Network+, IP addressing, routing basics)
* Demonstrated troubleshooting skills, with strong logic, process flow, and attention to detail
* Ability to work on-site in a lab setting as part of a collaborative test engineering team

Preferred Skills:
* Industry certifications such as CWNA, CWS, or equivalent
* Experience working with an MSO, chipset provider, or Wi-Fi hardware vendor
* Experience working with conducted and over-the-air (OTA) Wi-Fi test setups
* Experience writing or using Python scripts for automation proof-of-concepts or diagnostics
* Familiarity with testing tools: Ixia, Spirent, Octobox, Rohde & Schwarz

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
