What You'll Do:
As a DevOps Engineer at Austin Capital Bank, you'll help build and support the systems that keep our technology running smoothly. You'll work closely with developers and other engineers to monitor our infrastructure, improve system performance, and make sure everything stays secure and reliable. Your work will include automating deployments, setting up alerts, and managing cloud resources in AWS and Azure. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, learning new tools, and working as part of a collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Monitor all dev, QA, Staging, and Production infrastructure and respond rapidly to urgent situations
  • Support global DevOps team to put pro-active monitoring in place for all systems, with automated alerts and efficient communication systems for distributed teams to work together to resolve DevOps (or other) urgent issues
  • Work with the software development team to integrate DevOps planning into software architecture design
  • Collaborate with global dev/DevOps team to ensure 99.99% uptime for systems with millions of users and rapid growth
  • Build and optimizeCI, CD System for operation and deployment as automatically as possible
  • Ensure best security practices are enabled at an AWS/Azure Account, Resource and application level
  • Support the implementation and reporting of AWS/ cost controls and usage

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, advanced degree a plus.
  • Possess at least 4 years of work experience as a DevOps Engineer with exposure to state of the art technologies in the Dev Ops space.
  • Strong experience improving speed, efficiency, and scalability of all systems
  • Must have excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • Must have a detailed understanding of best practices for IT operations in an always-up, always-available, customer-facing service
  • Ability to learn quickly and rapidly pick-up new technology stacks essential
  • Strong experience and hands-on skills with most or all of
  • Docker, Terraform, Jenkins
  • Leveraging multiple services from AWS: EC2, ECS,S3, RDS, IAM, Route53, CloudWatch, Cloudfront, CodePipeline, Config, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Security Hub
  • Leveraging multiple services from Azure: Virtual Machines, Azure Container Instances, Blob Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Active Directory, Azure DNS, Azure Monitor, Azure CDN, Azure DevOps Pipelines, Azure Policy, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Activity Log, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure functions,
  • Load balancer configuration, optimization and maintenance
  • Firewalls to prevent DDOS, SQL injection, and other attacks
  • Constant improvement of CDN to optimize security, performance, cache management
  • Container orchestration and management: ECS Fargate
  • Improving Container Orchestration performance, security and cost
  • Setup and management of monitoring tools Kibana, Cloudwatch
  • Setup and management of centralized logging, e.g. Elasticsearch, CloudTrail
  • Linux/ Unix Administration and scripting using shell scripts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable infrastructure.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and minimal downtime.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical systems, ensuring rapid response to incidents and maintaining service reliability.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Infrastructure as code (e.g.Terraform and Cloudformation)
  • CI: Jenkins, CodeBuild,etc.
  • PostgreSQL and MySQL
  • Tuning Postgresql and scaling solutions for large traffic
  • Command-line tools and distributed version control systems such as GIT.
  • Familiarity with Industry Standard Security Benchmarks (CIS)
  • Reserved Instance approach and Compute savings plans for cost optimization
