Technical Writer (with Internal / External Audit Experience)
Location - New Jersey (Hybrid)
We are seeking a top-rated technical writer with the experience and background in the financial services systems. The candidate will work on documentation of technical applications that support our trading desks. Candidates should have experience on the documentation of internal or external technology audit. These include applications that are built entirely in-house as well as processes that work with vendor-based applications. The successful candidate will need excellent written skills as well as a good understanding of technical terms.
  • 3+ years experience working in a sell side brokerage firm
  • 3+ years experience in technical writing
  • Previous experience with Internal / External Audit Documents very important
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented, collaborative / matrix environment.
  • Communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders to capture information, define business needs and document functional and technical requirements ensuring alignment with program and project goals.
  • Review, Interpret and edit information gathered from multiple sources including Business Requirements Documents, technical documents, project scopes, deliverables, spreadsheets, reports, plans, schedules, specifications and other documents to validate and transfer information into corresponding contracting and procurement vehicles.
  • Evaluate information to reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into detail, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with company policies, legal regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines, particularly in an environment of uncertainty or ambiguity.
  • Have basic understanding of technical terms.
