Network Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Network Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI(Hybrid). You willlead design and implementation planning for Data Center LAN projects, ensuring compliance with standards and seamless coordination across teams.

Rate Range: $45/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Network Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Lead design and implementation planning for Data Center LAN projects, ensuring compliance with approved standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Server Hosting, Mainframe, Storage) to gather network connectivity requirements and manage space/power arrangements.
• Create network design documentation, including logical diagrams, BOMs, and change control documents, and present at change control meetings.
• Plan and execute network configuration changes, including DNS updates, following change control processes and policies.
• Manage hardware procurement and installation, including Cisco L2/L3 and ACI switches, and oversee cabling and configuration tasks.
• Monitor and implement software updates/patches for Cisco NXOS and ACI, and coordinate testing of new designs and hardware with Network Engineering.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 3-5 years of IT network engineering experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS, ACI, and L2/L3 switch technologies with strong understanding of Ethernet switching (1G/10G/40G/100G).
• Strong project management and documentation skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Visio, and SharePoint.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
