Job Title: Senior IT Technical Business Analyst

Job Description:
- The Senior IT Technical Business Analyst is responsible for leading business analysis activities across complex IT initiatives.
- This role focuses on gathering and managing requirements, translating business needs into technical specifications, supporting solution design, and ensuring quality, governance, and change management compliance.
- The role works closely with stakeholders, technical teams, and leadership to support modernization, service delivery, and enterprise IT solutions.
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis, refinement, and documentation.
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and use cases.
- Translate business needs into clear technical specifications for architecture and development teams.
- Assess new service and technology requests and evaluate operational impacts.
- Assist with project planning including schedules, estimates, task lists, and resource assignments.
- Research and evaluate emerging technology trends relevant to initiatives.
- Evaluate existing IT services and recommend remediation or modernization.
- Support proof-of-concept initiatives and limited production rollouts.
- Contribute to the design of new IT services, solution documents, and test plans.
- Assist in determining hardware and software requirements.
- Provide quality control oversight for production implementations.
- Ensure compliance with change management and governance processes.
- Communicate operational guidelines and interpret policies for business stakeholders.
- Identify risks, issues, and impediments and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Track and report time, deliverables, and project status.
- Minimum 6 years of experience identifying, documenting, and managing business requirements.
- Minimum 5 years of experience planning and facilitating requirements gathering workshops with operational, clinical, or leadership stakeholders.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting the design, development, and implementation of complex, multi-vendor IT solutions.
- Must reside in Canada for the duration of the engagement.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional on-site presence as required.
- Ability to provide own computer equipment compatible with modern Windows or macOS environments.
- Business analysis and requirements management in complex IT environments.
- Supporting enterprise-level technology and service initiatives.
- Working with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Degree or diploma in Business or Information Technology, or Business Analysis certification.
- Experience with Electronic Health Record or Electronic Medical Record systems.
- Experience documenting requirements for procurement or RFP processes.
- Experience developing business cases, feasibility studies, and alternative analyses.
- Knowledge of information management, privacy, and security concepts.
- Experience documenting workflows and use cases.
- Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions.
- Experience developing new IT services including service definitions, metrics, processes, and operational handover.
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills.
- Technical analysis and solution evaluation.
- Stakeholder facilitation and communication.
- Project coordination and planning support.
- Risk identification and mitigation.
- Understanding of IT service design and governance.
- Degree or diploma in Business, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Business analysis certification preferred.
