Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Develop and implement test protocols to characterize battery performance. Review test plans, gather requirements, and develop test procedures. Maintain testing equipment. Review data and generate test reports. Implement and improve processes. Troubleshoot tests. Responsible for electrical testing, mechanical testing, and electro-chemical characterization of Lithium batteries within the test labs. Work closely with Research and Development, Applications, and Qualification teams to develop and implement any electrical tests to characterize battery performance. Cover all facets of the battery testing including development and scheduling of electrical tests, interpretation and communication of test results, data collection and upkeep of the test database, and maintenance and calibration of all test equipment and meters. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 - $205,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Nanoengineering or related field.
- Experience and/or education must include:
- Battery testing equipment
- Data analysis
- Battery electrochemistry
- Battery Testers such as Maccor, Arbin, or Gamry
- Ability to troubleshoot and operate testing equipment and tools
- Statistical analysis
