Sr Specialist Cybersecurity

Job Description:

The Sr. Specialist Cybersecurity protects products, services, infrastructure, networks, and applications by implementing robust security measures, monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and supporting innovation and strategic planning to safeguard data and assets for the company, our customers and vendors.

Core responsibilities

• Assist with research and analysis tasks presented to the team
• Cover multiple operational tasks, e.g. processing phish reports or inbox communications
• Threat hunting across multiple data sources
• Monitor reporting and interpret changes or trends
• Assist in carrying out notification initiatives
• Assist with special investigations as needed
• Assist with, and take lead in, creating analyst reports or other prepared communications as needed
• Participating in inter-team communications about ongoing initiatives
• Recommend and create new analysis initiatives
• Recommend enhancements and improvements to processes

Soft responsibilities

• Contribute to team knowledge:
  • Current threat landscape and events
  • Observations, issues, suggestions to enhance tooling
  • Other AT&T business units, their structures and functions
  • AT&T service offerings
  • AT&T DevSecOps, Azure infrastructure
• Contribute to communications with external teams or third parties

Technical skills

• Working knowledge of most of these cybersecurity fundamentals:
  • TCP/IP
  • TCP ports, services, vulnerabilities
  • CVE basics
  • Malware types, distribution techniques
  • OSINT: Shodan, VT
• Windows and Linux basics
• Basic scripting in a common language (bash, python)
• Basic SQL
• Familiar with MS Office apps

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) desired in Computer Science or Cybersecurity. 2+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

Our Sr Specialist Cybersecurity earns between $94,300-$141,500 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
