You will collaborate closely with backend data engineers and finance stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights.

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to design, build, and optimize data visualizations and dashboards that drive strategic decision-making across financial and regulatory domains. You will collaborate closely with backend data engineers and finance stakeholders to transform complex data into actionable insights.
This role focuses on front-end report development using Power BI, with a strong emphasis on business acumen, data storytelling, and performance optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Translate business requirements into effective data visualizations and user experiences.
- Build and optimize data models using DAX and Power Query (M language).
- Collaborate with backend teams working in SQL, Python, and ETL pipelines to ensure data readiness.
- Implement row-level security and manage publishing workflows.
- Ensure compliance with financial data governance, audit, and regulatory standards.
- Optimize report performance using tools like Performance Analyzer.
- Design for accessibility and mobile responsiveness.
- 3+ years of experience with Power BI development (Desktop & Service).
- Proficiency in DAX, Power Query (M), and star schema modeling.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and UX design.
- Experience with performance tuning and large dataset optimization.
- Ability to gather and interpret business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Familiarity with row-level security and role-based access control.
- Advanced DAX for financial KPIs and time intelligence.
- Experience with financial data structures (GL, P&L, balance sheets).
- Knowledge of banking data sources (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials, Bloomberg).
- Exposure to regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., Basel III, CCAR, SOX).
- Strong communication skills and ability to present insights to executive stakeholders.
- Understanding of compliance, audit trails, and data governance best practices.
