Aspire IT Solutions is in a need of -
Role: Sr. Data Engineer
Location: Des Moines, IA (Hybrid 3 days onsite required)
Duration: 6 months contract (possible 6-month extension)
Tools/Tech: Python, AWS, Snowflake, SQL, GitHub Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support our Data & Analytics (D&A) initiatives by building scalable, curated data products that enable analytics and insights. This role will collaborate closely with product managers, analytics consultants, and analysts to design and implement data solutions in AWS and Snowflake. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to transform source data into curated data products.

  • Build and optimize data solutions using Python, AWS, Snowflake, and SQL.

  • Collaborate with product managers and analytics partners to deliver data features aligned with business needs.

  • Partner with analysts to support data exploration and usage of AWS services.

  • Work independently on smaller features and pair with teammates on larger or more complex initiatives.

  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across data pipelines.

  • Use GitHub for version control and collaborative development.

  • Support limited legacy integrations (e.g., Informatica) as needed (not a core focus).

Required Skills

  • Strong experience with Python for data engineering

  • Hands-on experience with AWS data services

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Experience using GitHub for source control and collaboration

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Snowflake

  • API-based data extraction and integration

  • Data modeling concepts and tools (e.g., Erwin)

  • Exposure to legacy ETL tools such as Informatica.
